Abstract Introduction The SARS-CoV2/COVID-19 pandemic represented an unprecedented emergency prompting a drive to minimise non-essential patient contact and the need for virtual fracture clinic (VFC); uncommon practice in paediatric units. Management of fractures requires greater degree vigilance safeguard children. current climate has created social challenges that theoretically increase risk harm exploitation This study investigates VFC management determine efficiency such process safeguarding. Method A protocol was devised affiliation with BSCOS immediate streamlining into VFC. We retrospectively audited 235 consults over 1-month period. Patient sex roughly evenly distributed, age ranged from 9 months 16 years (mean 8.4 years). Results 42% patients were recalled face-to-face (F2F) review (26% expedited), primarily clinical assessment, plaster complaints imaging requirements. 33% discharged 15% continued follow-up All clavicle discharged. Forearm, hand, foot elbow injuries more likely be Lower leg, upper arm knee presentations frequently required F2F review. 2.3% cases safeguarding reviews.
